haven't played for a long while. i only have an hour of gametime left anyhow. but i'm just completely in love with the Elins in heavy armor. and Castanics in heavy armor. i know for sure i will roll a Berserker (main or not) but i'm not sure the Elin armor changes will impact my choice of race. bothers me like ughhhh. looking forward to alpha, i better be invited. can definitely wait for release though. not looking forward to the frustrations another MMO will bring. makes me reminisce the Aion closed betas. that withdrawal was just awful. and of course, now i seriously crave playing it. i've always had periods where i play some Infinite Aion, but it's not the same as retail. i don't know. it just feels like the right time to go back as i view the game in a completely different light, there have been lots of updates, and i know exactly what i did wrong that led me to quitting. but at the same time, i know that most hasn't changed a bit. whatever. i am so installing and doing the free trial rn. D: ............maybe.

ah today was shit. was nauseous and ready to throw up all day. woke up with cramps and thought i was about to get my period, but nope... didn't play much TERA. decided to get on the zerker i created and try it out, and was verrry pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was. think it's my favorite class so far. got her to level 9. will get her to 17 tomorrow, can't wait to take a longer break from TERA. i know for sure i'll just casual this game now. it's tiring.

servers opened at 12 today, finished a photoshop assignment i had forgotten about before i started playing. weirdly enough i didn't feel stressed at all, and finished it 17 minutes after 12. was inspired from the Save Japan projects people have been doing online. took a bath after a couple of hours of playing, read some the wind-up bird chronicle and went grocery shopping. i bought red bull for sunday. not sure why. store had no monster. sad, really. been taking it easy, reached 17 on my Archer. played a few levels on a Sorcerer, Mystic and Slayer. decided to continue on a Priest. really liking the Priest at the moment. sick to death of Island of Dawn though. got to level 7 on the Priest. probably not gonna play much tomorrow. i need a break and got irl stuff to attend to. mom's birthday "party" ie. she bought pizza today, again. and i feel like throwing up all over the place.

was a fun evening, experiencing Island of Dawn in English. felt rusty at the beginning, but got into the mechanics rather quickly. i love the Archer's attacks, mainly the melee ones and the attack that shoots you back. it's such a fluid burst of DPS when combined. also got to run a little quest instance that i somehow missed in KOBT, thanks Shank. :) i never tried crafting in KOBT, so i tried that out. was disappointed with the first bow recipe i got. right now it only seems like a fun time- and moneysink. no really, i found crafting fun. looking forward to experiencing Fey Forest tomorrow, it was my favorite area during KOBT. i will no doubt reach level cap that is set on 17, so i have a Baraka Mystic waiting for me after that. "weeei." :D

omg can't wait. :) non-stop TERA April 2nd and 3rd! feels like ages since i played KOBT, i missed the game so much. :D will be rolling Baraka.. not sure what class. Mystic, probably. want to see what the class is like without 239473294 ping. shame the Elins are disabled for this event, would really like to make an Elin Berserker. ah well. i'm not sure if i like the Archer anymore either. just feels like Mystic is my thing rn, i never played much support classes in my previous games. looking forward to it.

gonna work hard on my school work to not end up with last-minute stuff as i won't have time for it. :@ social studies are so boring though. at least religion is interesting!

TERA thoughts

Since the news of the NA "Community play event" and the EU "test" was released today, and i'm bored, i figure i could do a little summary of my own (few) concerns about TERA. This is mainly to keep in hand to see what also concerns the NA/EU client rather than just the KR client, and to see what has changed and stuff.

• PK system. Needing bought items to declare PK on someone. (concern: gold income, price) Having to declare PK on someone; having to go into the menu and choosing it from a dropdown menu.
• Solo content. Lacking solo quests at level 22+.
• Difficulty, level 1-17. Would like to see the mob AI improved in these levels.
• Fixed world boss spawns. Just a suggestion from my side, would make it a lot more fun to have the world bosses spawn in a few random locations. Having to race the rival guilds to the boss and PK people to get the kill and dramas and.. yeah. All that would happen even if the spawns were on fixed locations i guess, but it would just be better if it was random imo. Would be harder to camp the bosses 24/7 (as they spawn every hour) and i think it would result in more guilds getting a chance to take part of the loot.
• Political system. Only because there's like 0 info on it and it's not enabled yet on the Korean servers.

Doubt the "Communiy play event" will shed much light on any of this as i assume the level cap of the "event" will be quite low, but yeah. Will be most probably be updated.

TERA KOBT is ending in a few days and rolling into release, so i logged on to play a bit.. was impossible. my 3g net's been bitching all day so i just took some screenshots and played with char creator. 100% sure i won't be rolling Elin on NA/EU servers, probably going Castanic or Amani. (or even Baraka... I LUFF DEM) definitely making an Elin Berserker alt, tho. they're so cute with heavy armor and huge axes.

some more (high quality) TERA screenshots. i was like.. level 14-5 or so in these, reached level 18 today! :3 levelling speed is good though, quests everywhere and good exp and good loot rate. it's not too fast and not too slow. i don't know how it will be later in the game, but i hope they don't increase the exp too much during 1-20 at least! apparently 20+ is a LOT of party play, and you will have to grind if you want to play solo, so i hope they add some more solo content in the western version from there on.







the game looks absolutely stunning on highest graphics, i really want a decent rig already.. also, i've been wondering about the bloodsplatter effects, and i didn't find the option to enable it until i turned my graphics on highest, lol. it's cool. can live without it, but i won't be playing without it if i get to choose. (don't mess with me, Frogster :() it's interesting trying to guess the color of the blood before hitting a mob xD

since i reached level 17 i've noticed the mobs are getting harder than before, the AI is more complex and the minions easily surround you if you don't pay attention. i haven't died once in the game yet though, though it was close the time i jumped of the plateau at Island of Dawn because i didn't think, lol. ended up with 60hp. :) i also climbed around some cliffs while playing yesterday, it seems a lot of the mountains are climbable if you're persistent.

the levelling seems quite ordinary and linear, follow the campaign quests to reach this and that area, but there seems to be different paths with the regular quests. i was led to an area that was marked with a skull in the quest log, and can't remember what the skull means, but i skipped that entire area to follow another quest, leading me to another area. i will go back to the "skulled" area when it gets thin with solo quests, for some extra exp, but yeah.

can't wait to finish downloading this patch and get back to questing.

TERA IS EPIC. love it tons.
stuff i don't like about TERA:

• the way the Elin won't stay still during character creation -_-
• the running between NPCs...
• the way you need to be in a party even if you can solo quest instances! (or that's a bug...)

uhm.... that's about it for now. despite the lagspikes playing today has been really fun. grouped with Mad Bunny for the quest instance after soloing 3 times and not getting my quest updated.. then i grouped with some cute Korean to finish some quest faster and he went all 와우 and stuff at the mystic skills ahhahaha. ^-^ i got most of what he said but i didn't say shit until we finished and i went all 한국사람 아니에요 or something... awkward.. hope he doesn't report me. /stupid
and and and. i love the gathering in TERA and the effects are awesome and everything's awesome about TERA. so far. not looking forward to grinding gold for the l20 mount though.
